The rebirth of nature, after winter arrives the gentle days of spring, is celebrated in Perrães during the Beltane Festival. Leaving Óis da Ribeira we follow the Águeda river to the Requeixo bridge. Among willows and poplars, we find the "Pateira" formed by the Cértoma river. After passing the Ois da Ribeira park and the quarry from which the "Eirol sandstone" was extracted, we arrive at the Espinhel park, a bird watching site. In the last stage we go to Perrães passing through rice fields. We finish at Carreiro Velho park with a "toast of honor". |
