On World Pastry Day we look for the ovo-moles and other sweets made by the hands of the people of Aveiro and the white piles of salt that the Marnotos gather. Two traditions to
live, feel and taste on this walk and on the moliceiro boat trip through the ria's channels.

The starting point for this walk is the beautiful CP station with its tile panels that open the doors to Aveiro with so many places
to discover, rich in traditions, in religiosity, present in the museum of St.ª Joana and the
Cathedral or "Art Nouveau" buildings with their own architecture. The fish square, a meeting point for people
is another landmark of this city, just like the marnotos in the Tronchalada salt pans maintaining the tradition of extracting
sea salt and where flamingos return to feed in the ria. A route that is also done by moliceiro and, on this
world day of pastry, tasting of ovos-moles and other typical Aveiro sweets accompanied with Bairrada sparkling
wine in the "city of the canals" where science and tradition go hand in hand for the future.
