In this edition, our journey joins the joy of the Senhor dos Aflitos Festival in the Curia Woods, blending wine tourism with authentic local festivities.

Local Festival Edition (Sr. dos Aflitos)

12km route through Bairrada vineyards, focusing on wine tourism and the local festival experience (the day's "cultural treat").

Comfortable footwear for dirt tracks and asphalt, sun protection, hat, and camera to capture the moments of the hike.

Leaving Curia, we walk through vineyards, caves, and cellars, viewpoints, and windmills, passing by Paço de Óis on the possible Roman road Bracara-Olisipo.
The Curia Thermal Park and Palace Hotel are landmarks of history, traces of the "Belle Époque" and "Art Nouveau" architecture that we glimpse along the way.
We also pass by the old Curia railway station (a work by Cottinelli Telmo), which now houses the "Rota da Bairrada" space, offering a glimpse of what is produced across the region.
In this edition, the path leads us to the heart of the "Sr dos Aflitos" Fest in the "Mata da Curia", the perfect moment to taste regional flavours amidst the local celebration.
We conclude at our "base camp", "TreesAndTravel-IsaLua coworking space", with a collective toast, raising a glass to the best Bairrada has to offer!
