Leaving our base camp in Curia at 15:30h, we begin an interpretative walking tour focused on the history, heritage, and wine culture of the region. Our first stop is the old Curia train station (designed by Cottinelli Telmo), which today houses the "Rota da Bairrada" space, where we stop for a wine/sparkling wine tasting and catch a glimpse of the finest wines produced across the Bairrada region.

We continue through this thermal area, where the Curia Thermal Spa, the Palace Hotel, and the Grande Hotel da Curia stand as historic landmarks, true remnants of the "Belle Époque" and "Art Nouveau" architecture that frame the golden age of thermalism.

In this special São João edition, we walk up towards the village of Mata da Curia with a perfect schedule: we arrive at the festival grounds around 18:00h, just in time to watch the Portuguese National Team football match on a giant screen! It is the ideal reason to start the party early, cheering for the team while sharing traditional grilled sardines and raising a flute of local sparkling wine.

Returning to Curia, we close the walk with a collective toast at our base camp, "TreesAndTravel-IsaLua coworking space", celebrating the perfect harmony between culture, sports, and popular tradition!
