Walking Experience
We begin this route at the railway station, where magnificent azulejo tile panels welcome us into Aveiro. A city steeped in devotion, visible at the Santa Joana Museum and the Cathedral, adorned with elegant Art Nouveau architecture, vibrant at the traditional fish market, and connected to nature at the Troncalhada salt pans where local salt workers (marnotos) preserve sea salt harvesting traditions, welcoming returning flamingos every year.
A journey that also unfolds aboard a traditional moliceiro boat along the canals of the Portuguese "Venice".
To end our journey, we enjoy a tasting of iconic Aveiro Ovos-Moles pastries paired, naturally, with local Bairrada sparkling wine.
